5th ANNUAL ROOTFEST 2010
WEST UNION OHIO
AUG 21ST
SOUTHERN OHIO KICKS SOME ROCK N ROLL ASS
HELD AT WHO’S BARN IN
West Union Ohio August 21st

Rootfest what can I say but a hell of a show and a great party!!!  I am sure
most of you have seen Rootbound perform this band is considered a local
band, but I hesitate on that word, yes they are local in distance, but their
sound and their performance is not a local act.  This is a band from
southern Ohio, you would  not expect the type of talent from a band in this
area, do not get me wrong I am from Kentucky so I can say that I hope , it is
just that they are so much more than what you would think.  Rootfest is
held in West Union Ohio, in a barn and on a farm at Who’s Farm, you go
you camp it is one hell of  a time, this was my first time at the event, and I
was thrilled to have been there.   Admission was only 20.00 with free
parking and free camping, that is pretty much unheard of these days, and
with the line up it was  a steal, they had great facilities, security, great food
they even had veggie burgers, thanks to the veggie of the band, it was ran
like a huge national even, I was very impressed, and to be honest my first
time in a tent, and I do have plans on going back next year, all of our
readers better meet me there.   They are wicked live, the singer has such a
versatile range I keep listening to the Cd I can see so much influence in the
band, it is really amazing, most bands can not do the range they do, and the
lyrics to the songs, this is a band that is going to be huge very soon.  We
have played the bands CD to many and all that have heard is like who is this
band how do I find them,  they are better that what we hear on the radio,
and it is true they are, they need to be in regular rotation at all stations,
these guys are fresh new, they have their own nitch in music, not copy cats,
they do their own thing which makes them ROOTBOUND!!!   They band are
just regular good people down to earth and nice, what a combination great
musicians and nice, I say they have the total package going on, not many
bands can say that, so in my book that is an A+
The band has opened for many national acts, I have seen them several
times, but the first time I really met them they were opening for Jackyl, and I
got talking to them, because they were so great on stage it was like this
band should not be an opening act…  These are some great guys and
awesome musicians.
Rootfest 2010 had a great line up, which included E.A.B,  The June Bug
Band, Another Tragedy, Brood Xlll, One Day Alive, David James an The
Gang, Zachary Burns Band, The Nigel Dupree Band, Afroman, and
Rootbound, what a diverse line up, a killer show something for everyone.  If
you have not seen Rootbound yet, this is a heads up go see them now, they
are going to be national, get your CDs and t-shirts now get it all
autographed, these guys are gonna make it huge soon, they are too good…
Cant wait till the next show with them…   Rock on Southern Ohio!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to thank the guys from Rootbound
